The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Department of Medicine - Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care is currently recruiting for a Clinical Research Assistant . This entry-level paid research assistantship is an exceptional opportunity for recent undergraduates interested in pursuing graduate study in medicine, psychology, nursing, and other health disciplines. The position offers experience in a wide range of behavioral and biomedical research areas (e.g., clinical trials, interview studies, public health and policy projects, and retrospective database studies) and the opportunity to participate in all phases of research. The clinical research assistant will have the opportunity to learn about sleep's profound impact on a variety of mental and physical health correlates and will be encouraged to contribute to publications, pursue independent research interests, and to hone research skills.

Assist with all IRB and budget processes for studies and clinical trials.
Create documents for research protocols, consent, and patient education.
Maintain study databases.
Organize and track regulatory documentation.
Coordinate communication between site and research study staff.
Oversee subject recruitment, administration of informed consent, and scheduling.
Contribute to data processing and statistical analysis.
Conduct literature reviews.
Assist in writing and editing grants, manuscripts, research abstracts, and posters.
Update research website and social media accounts, as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors in Biology, Engineering, Epidemiology, Sociology, Psychology, Nursing or field of study related to the research of the clinic.
Experience: Prior clinical research preferred.
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.
