The Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska invites highly motivated Geriatricians to join our faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to promote the expansion of our popular interprofessional education programs and the continued growth of our clinical practice.
The selected candidate will join the medical staff of Nebraska Medicine, the region’s premier academic medical center. Comprised of 30 members, including 13 physicians, the Division provides clinical care in the outpatient, inpatient, and nursing home setting. The Division also works closely with other Divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine as well as other Departments to provide interdisciplinary care for older patients. Our faculty is devoted to education at all levels from health professions students through fellowship and continuing education. The Division also conducts basic, translational, and clinical research related to Aging, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care. We offer flexibility to accommodate a candidate's special clinical interests (hospice/palliative care, long-term care, VA, outpatient).
The successful candidate must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, and be a board certified/eligible fellowship-trained Geriatrician seeking a career as a clinician educator. Candidates should have outstanding interpersonal skills along with enthusiasm for patient care,
MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent. Fellowship trained. Board certified/Board eligible.
