Under the supervision of the Director, the Research Analyst (Professional Services Specialist III) is responsible for independently performing professional functions using established policies, procedures, and guidelines; assists with database design, development and maintenance; assists with data analysis and develops data reports; assists with new computer program creation and website maintenance; assists with mandatory Federal and State reporting, external surveys and internal data requests; provides support for campus-wide research, accreditation, assessment, program review and other initiatives; communicates with departments for data collection and related inquiries; and does related work as required.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field and two years of professional experience in database design, development and maintenance is required. Experience in web design and development is preferred. Candidate must have proficiency in a computer programming language such as Visual Basic, C/C++ or Java, familiarity with statistical computing language and analytical software and proficiency in database management language such as SQL, T-SQL. The ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is essential.
