The Application Developer works with interdisciplinary teams to automate workflows and analyze data from proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics and transcriptomics experiments. The Application Developer is responsible for the implementation of web applications, web services, and integrations with internal and external software components using industry best practices. Develops and modifies software under occasional guidance. Designs, codes, performs benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs involved in scientific research. Implements small projects or components or large projects. Determines design approaches and parameters, conducts tests, and evaluates results.
The Mass Spectrometry Research Center (MSRC) is home to three cores which offer analytical services in proteomics, small molecules, and tissue imaging using mass spectrometry. The MSRC conducts collaborative research programs with investigators in nearly every Center and department in the Medical Center and Vanderbilt University as well as many trans-Institutional initiatives.
