Responsibilities The Associate Physician responsibilities will include providing direct patient care as well as supervision of housestaff and student physicians providing direct patient care at the assigned location. Patients cared for will include: children, adults, and pregnant women. Specific patient care duties include: obtaining medical history and performing physical examination, developing diagnostic and treatment plan, patient counseling including discussion of evaluation process, risks and benefits of treatment options, review of recommended diagnostic studies.
MD or DO degree
Valid CA Medical License
Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Skills to manage complex medical patients and their broad range of illness
Skills to collaborate and function as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Skills to serve as an effective teacher when dealing with learners and to effectively transition patients from the inpatient setting back to their outpatient care home.
Abilities/competencies required include to function in a professional manner with regards to patients, families, colleagues, to maintain compliance with all medical staff policies
Effective communication skills
