Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the School of Curriculum and Teaching, the Managing Assistant Director is responsible for exercising general management and supervision over the Spanish Speaking Program, including all day-to-day work operations. The Managing Assistant Director is involved in all areas of planning and administration including student recruitment, student services, budget and personnel management. The Managing Assistant Director will be responsible for maintaining program records and databases and will be involved in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; and also does related work as required. The Managing Assistant Director is bilingual in Spanish and English and effectively communicates both orally and in writing with the University’s Spanish-speaking student population. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Master’s degree; bilingual in Spanish and English including the ability to speak, read and write in both at an advanced level; and two years of professional experience working with a Spanish Speaking population in an institution of higher education or other related field is required. Candidate must have knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, website management tools and social media.
