The Mrs. T.H.Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy is seeking a sharp, technical-minded Computer Service Engineer I to join the team!
The Computer Service Engineer I will be responsible for installing and performing on-site repair and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and terminals. Duties include but are not limited to:
Process user onboarding/off boarding
Install and repair Windows based computers
Maintain A/V equipment
Perform daily checks of Classroom A/V equipment
Assist users with computer and A/V related issues
Maintain and update ticketing system queue
Assist IT team with technical issues and projects
Register devices with USC ITS
Maintain and repair printing systems
Research technical systems and solutions
Maintain and repair various handheld devices
Assist in the design of special devices and interfaces
Monitors the performance of supported hardware and provides recommendations for improvement or change
Assists in the preparation of technical reports to provide engineering data for long and short range planning
The Computer Service Engineer I must be detail-oriented, have strong customer interaction skills, and have excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, troubleshooting, and Zoom in an education environment. In addition, the classroom AV equipment is specialized to the classrooms and most IT technicians have little to no knowledge regarding AV equipment. The role requires the IT candidate to have knowledge and ability in classroom and conference room functionality that can repair issues with immediacy.Â Â
