CARB-X is a grant funded project focused on accelerating the pre-clinical development of products to address antibiotic resistance, including drugs, vaccines and diagnostics. The CARB-X Senior Quality Assurance Specialist promotes best practices and solutions within BU and across the CARB-X partners (e.g., subrecipents). This position serves as a liaison and subject matter expert for CARB-X partners to assure smooth and coordinated review processes for activities involving animals and financial conflicts of interests (FCOIs). The Senior QA Specialist will generally perform the following functions: manage, monitor and audit compliance processes related to the animal care and use activities and financial conflicts of interests (FCOI) covered under the CARB-X Project; ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed appropriately; assess compliance with all applicable regulations and policies; identify areas of risk; and serve as a point of contact for animal care and use and FCOI compliance processes for internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., OLAW, subrecipients).
*Bachelors degree required.
*3 years of experience in a fast paced operational environment.
*Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
*Ability to produce high-quality work reflecting attention to detail and accuracy.
*Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
