Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X, In Residence, Adjunct) Colorectal Surgery

The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Colorectal Surgery is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks to recruit a Full-time academic surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery.
The Division of Colorectal Surgery at UC San Diego Health System has a strong national reputation in the areas of minimally invasive colorectal disease, rectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. We are interested in building our national presence in these areas while maintaining a strong clinical footprint regionally and nationally in pelvic floor and endoscopy.
The individual will participate in the clinical programs and educational activities of the Division, including resident teaching, multi-institutional research, and University service.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree. Candidates with an MD must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colorectal Surgery. Candidate must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidate with a research background in the areas of bioengineering, medical devices, and/or health care disparities are preferred.
Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Series will be determined by the successful candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
