The Expanded Food and NutritionEducation Program (EFNEP) Program Assistant II is responsible to the CountyExtension Director and works under the direction of the EFNEP Area Specialist.This position will support county work to:
Provideleadership for a program of activities the meets the needs of all eligibleclientele regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability,religion, or veteran status.
Recruitand enroll youth groups and families in the EFNEP program.
Conductand teach programs individually and in group settings by demonstration thefollowing:
Efficientuse of limited family resources in providing and adequate diet for the family.
Instructionin food production, mal planning, food preparation, and preservation andserving to improve the family's health through improved nutrition.
Skillsrelated to health and nutrition, such as sanitation and food storage.
Informationand experiences that will aid in raising the aspirations of low-income familiesto develop pride and improve the family and home life environment.
Collectand store complete and accurate records needed in planning, implementing, andevaluating the EFNEP Program.
