This Information Technology Consultant position serves as a member of the Facilities & Property Management (FPM) information technology (IT) team supporting AiM, the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) used at Portland State University.
This position supports day-to-day IT needs, software, applications, and hardware used by FPM staff; hardware includes management of FPM cell phones and other devices used in the field by various tradespeople and managers. The consultant conducts department-wide computer and device inventory and makes recommendations for hardware management, upgrades, and support. This position works with a small team of FPM IT staff, with support from PSU's Office of Information Technology and contracted vendors as needed. The Information Technology Consultant assists in providing training and technical support for AiM; manages internal and public departmental websites with training from University Communications, and may assist with SQL reporting and web application development.

Experience with open source report writing software such as BIRT.
