Oversees the forecasting, ordering, inventory and food quality control of the food production processes for an assigned venue(s). Assists in directing the day-to-day operations of assigned venues(s).
Oversee the production process from ordering of goods and raw materials to serving the finished product in a timely fashion meeting or exceeding all departmental quality standards. Team member in ensuring all controllable cost categories are managed to defined budget levels
Implements and/or monitors various processes to maximize efficiencies related to but not limited to: o Adherence to recipes o Weekly and monthly inventories o Carryout and cookout orders o Catered / special events, promotions and marketing strategies o Staffing levels, evaluating performance expectations
Assists General Manager in directing, managing and leading the operation of assigned venue(s) including overseeing venue(s) renovations while providing excellent customer service.
Ensures a safe and sanitary workplace complying with all applicable governmental laws and regulations, departmental policies and procedures as well as compliance with applicable provisions in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Serves as a liaison between AFSCME, peers, and other departments throughout the University, representing Culinary Services as needed during orientation, resource fairs, and other related events as requested.
Fills in for the General Manager as needed and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience. Minimum of 1-2 years supervisory/managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Large volume food experience required. *ServSafe certification must be obtained within the first year of employment
Bachelor's Degree in the area of food service, Business or related field—preferably in a university setting.

$40,844 – $46,971 annually, based on an 11-month position. Commensurate with education and years of experience in the food service industry.
