Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Learning and Development Supervisor for the Institute for Families (IFF). This position is under the direction of the Associate Program Manager (NJCSI Program Lead). The Learning and Development Supervisor is responsible for determining and developing creative, learner-centered, performance-based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple platforms including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning , videos, webinars, database simulations, and on-line manuals.
Among the key duties of this position are the following
Supervises and manages professional staff and provides work direction to consultants and/or student assistants assigned to provide curriculum, evaluation, and administrative support.
Coordinates the recruitment and orientation of consultant trainers, providing support and technical assistance to trainers, and improving the quality of the classroom experience through data analysis, observation, and action plans.
Completes other work consistent with the mission, vision, role and goals of the project.
The position requires a valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle to travel to training sites throughout New Jersey.
Also, must be able to successfully pass a background check including a child abuse registry check.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
A minimum of five (5) years experience working within programs that provide education to adult learners.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Advanced computer literacy.
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally within a fast-paced team.
Be a strong manager of people.
Effective communicator, efficient project manager, and have a solid understanding of instructional technology methods and tools. .
Ability to be detail oriented while independently managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.
Significant experience in curricula design and development of educational products for adult learners.
Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.
Master’s degree in instructional design, curriculum/ instructional development, instructional technology, or a related field.
Experience on a large-scale training project is highly desired.
Experience working in higher education or with human service professionals and multiple organizational partners and vendors is desired.
Experience using innovation and technology for classroom and eLearning platforms is preferred.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook and eLearing tools.
Clean Driving Record
Successfully pass a background check including a child abuse registry check.
