Job Summary continued: As a member of the Harvard Library finance team and reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide direct support in preparing fiscal year budgets, multi-year financial plans, mid-year forecasts, and monthly management reporting and analysis for the Harvard Library and Harvard College Library. The Senior Financial Analyst will be the financial partner to specific departments, providing a full range of financial support including reporting, budgeting and forecasting, as well as project and fund level budgets as needed. This position will also provide key decision support including creating and updating financial models and operational analysis.
Key qualifications required include outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, accountability for results, strong partnership and collaboration, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work well with others in a team setting.

Strong financial skills and understanding of financial tools and analysis
Advance skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
MBA or equivalent education or work experience preferred
Experience with budgeting and forecasting databases (e.g., Oracle Financials)
Focus on efficiency and automation in building and enhancing reports and analysis
Working knowledge of higher education business and financial models a plus
Self-organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously
Collaborative working style with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent analytic, written, and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to deliver quality output within a fast-paced and fluid environment
