This position will implement, coordinate, and maintain the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cardiac Arrest Registry for Enhanced Survival (C.A.R.E.S.) program. The position will provide data extraction and analysis of Prehospital Cardiac Arrest data to enhance prehospital cardiac arrest outcomes in the Commonwealth. This position will provide collaboration with local EMS agencies and hospitals to ensure Cardiac Arrest data submission to the national C.A.R.E.S. database, and provide training, clinical feedback, and coordination with multiple public safety and healthcare agencies. This is a three (3) year grant funded position. It is the intent of KBEMS to seek additional funding streams to sustain this program indefinitely.
The ideal candidate should be proficient with software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic statistical applications. Additionally, experience with program coordination, experience working with Emergency Medicine Departments, experience with large data files and analysis, experience working with people from different health care disciplines, strong communication skills, both written and oral, ability to work independently and in a team environment and experience with data and project management are important for this position.

Provide training and oversight for participating communities to ensure consistency in data collection, auditing and reporting processes.
Work with CARES Oversight staff to help implement the CARES Program in Kentucky.
Assist with data analysis in the CARES database and troubleshoots database errors and software system issues.
Responsible for coordinating the daily operational tasks that are needed for the maintenance of participating and future sites.
Outreach to potential project partners in local, regional healthcare as well as community-based partnerships, which may require episodic domestic travel.
Coordinates communications and meetings with CARES partners and participating EMS agencies and hospital contacts. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in public health, marketing, statistics or related discipline or equivalent and four (4) years relevant experience.
Master's degree or equivalent and five (5) years relevant experience.
