General Summary/Purpose

The research project coordinator will work with the NSP II PRIME Model for DNP-NP Education faculty and staff to schedule meetings, coordinate trainings, develop data systems to collect and report at regular meetings and annual performance report.  The coordinator will interface with project faculty, program faculty, stakeholders, and participant groups for feedback and guidance on PRIME Model Training development, pilot testing, and implementation, evaluation, and dissemination plans. Requires highly effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills. 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Develop strategies to meet targets for recruitment and retention.

• Identify and recruit participants and if needed assist in completing the survey.
• Disseminate study information, conduct outreach and participate in recruitment events
• Implement overall research protocol
• Explain study objectives, risks, and benefits with potential participants to recruit participants
• Assist with hiring and training of other research team members
• Oversees field operations
• Assist in refining research designs, data collection methods and strategies for data management
•  Participates in developing interim reports for principal investigator, funding agency, and institutional review board to ensure that the project is moving toward timely completion
• Consult with the Principal investigator on appropriate management of participant problems and concerns
• Develop training materials; coordinate training delivery; assure training and compliance of staff over life of project
• Monitor study progress and develop reports on study progress
• Maintain study-related records
• Monitor study activities to ensure compliance with protocols with all relevant institutional policies
• Convene workgroup and summarizing meeting discussion / next steps with timely distribution to workgroup members and follow up as needed to prompt completion of project tasks
• Define the learning needs and preferences of the target audience (reading level, duration of modules, presentation style)
• Conduct and summarizing results and findings
• Collaborate with instructional technologies/designer to develop a template for online module faculty development training.
• Collaborate with APRN Simulation Coordinator and PRIME Evaluation to develop module evaluation plan
• Coordinate pilot test of training modules by community members and summarize evaluation data
• Contribute to development of strategy to market and implement PRIME Model for DNP-NP Education
• Coordinate dissemination activities
• Assist with faculty development workshop
• Assist with implementation of electronic evaluation of RIME OSCE training using iPad.
• Assist with manuscript preparation and submission.
• Data entry and management, including REDCAP

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.

• Some related experience.

Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis.  For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job. *

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
