Job Summary: Postdoctoral positions are available at The University of Alabama to individuals with research interests. Individuals holding these positions are to conduct research with various faculty members on a variety of projects within the Institute of Business Analytics (IBA) and across the Culverhouse College of Business.

Additional Department Summary: The University of Alabama seeks applications for Postdoctoral positions. Successful candidates will hold terminal degrees and demonstrate a record of academic achievement in a research area or areas covered by the College. This position will lead and support in the development and publishing research on various topics relating to the IBA’s projects. Topics include but are not limited to: Data Acquisitions, Security and Storage, Data Mining, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Health Analytics, Optimization, etc. The postdoctoral scholar will at times need to concurrently complete research goals involving peer review publications and task-driven analytic projects as detailed by extramurally funded projects. Opportunities will also be available for the scholar to assist with the development and submission of applications for externally funded contracts and grants. The College and or hiring department will establish a series of structured merit-based evaluations. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal contingent upon demonstration of research productivity and funding.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or other terminal degree in a field of research represented within the College or the Institute of Business Analytics.
