The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) is actively seeking an Assistant Director of Development, Health Sciences Advancement. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Assistant Director of Development is the primary liaison for 3-4 reunion classes. The Assistant Director of Development recruits and manages reunion volunteer committees, works closely with senior staff, the annual giving and the major gifts team, and will personally solicit and close gifts to meet fundraising goals.
Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 leadership and annual giving prospects across 3-4 reunion classes including identification, cultivation and solicitation of leadership level gifts of all levels.
Recruit and manage reunion volunteer committees to achieve reunion weekend attendance and fundraising goals.
Develop all committee-meeting materials and work directly with committee leadership to facilitate meetings.
Respond to other special projects that support development objectives.
Establishes and maintains donor records and accounts.
Conducts research for the purpose of updating and expanding the donor base.
Plans, organizes and coordinates assigned fundraising programs, events and projects.
Drafts informational and marketing materials for review for assigned programs.
Assists in developing support materials for specific fundraising activities.
Schedules, assigns and prioritizes workloads, as needed. Sets appropriate deadlines.
Ensures timely completion of work.
Interacts with other university departments, as required.
Attends professional meetings and seminars to enhance professional competence.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
