This position reports to the Associate Dean of Student Development. This position will support the academic advising office by assisting admitted students by directing them to and informing them of the next steps in the enrollment process such as financial aid, testing, advising and academic planning, and new student orientation.
Use daily admissions reports to contact students after being admitted to the college about their next steps.
Respond in a timely manner to electronic requests from students to establish assessments needed for advising.
Communicate with students regarding test score submissions.
Notify admitted students of problems with their academic records including transcripts, financial aid, etc. and assist with resolving any issues
Re-engage students who completed enrollment process but delayed attendance.
Contact no-shows for all appointments and enrollment events.
Assist students in removing barriers to re-enrollment to the College.
Provide information to students about testing locations.
Communicate with students about orientation and advising.
Oversee the daily maintenance of a testing database.
Participate in degree reclamation projects.
Provide support for staff at all campuses to ensure students are receiving information about testing and assessment.
Provides information related to entries points to the college.
Serve on college committees as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (related field) and two years of related experience, or equivalent.
A background in higher education, preferably at a community college.
Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills
Knowledgeable with email, databases, and using e-communications.
