Project Director, The Fisher Center - Georgetown University Medical Center
The Project Director will have day to day management of the Jess and Mildred Fisher Center for Hereditary Cancer and Clinical Genomics Research Project. This position requires a diverse set of skills in order to complete multiple management functions. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Develops the agendas and leading regular study meetings with the study and Fisher Center staff and faculty, coordination and management across study sites, supervision of study staff, management of all regulatory requirements (development of research protocols, coordination of IRB submissions, amendments and renewals, interactions with data safety and monitoring committees, coordination of human subjects training for all study staff across multiple institutions), financial oversight of these projects in close collaboration with post-award financial analyst.
Requires the academic background to contribute scientifically to this and related projects.
Program and management of study databases via RedCap (including supervision of study database programmer).
Trains study staff in the use of these databases.
Works with the PI to conduct primary data analysis using SAS Statistical Software, authoring and collaborating on scientific publications.
All of these functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Medical Center's philosophy, procedures, and standards.
This position requires a M.A. or M.S. in psychology, public health or epidemiology.
At least 3 years of prior research experience in a related field
At least 1 year of project coordination experience
Experience programming in RedCap
Experience conducting primary data analysis using SAS
Scientific publication experience as evidenced by first-authored peer reviewed publications
