The Office of Military and Veteran Education (OMVE) National Test Center Coordinator (NTCC)/Regional Base Representative (RBR) is a part-time hourly position. The NTCC/RBR will work 25 hours a week with time split between the national test center at Joint Base Charleston, the test center at the Naval Consolidated Brig, and the education office located on Charleston Air Force Base, Charleston, South Carolina. The NTCC/RBR will spend 50% of their time managing the national test center, 12% managing the test center at the brig, and 38% of their time assisting the outreach team in recruiting military-affiliated students including veterans and family members.
Examples of Work:
Manage and distribute University NTC marketing materials
Schedule and proctor tests and exams at the national test center and test center at the brig
Provide and maintain open and positive communications with host military Education Services Officer (or equivalent) and respective Education Center Staff
Maintain appropriate communication with immediate supervisor and other University staff to ensure timely resolution of student issues
Conduct individual counseling of military members as well as other people associated with the military regarding Thomas Edison State University degrees and programs. These sessions will be conducted and coordinated through the local military voluntary education system
Assist new students with the application and registration process at the University
Conduct pre-enrollment counseling to guide new prospective students and applicants
Participate and complete work through the University CRM and Help Desk ticket system
Respond and follow up on student inquiries through the University phone system
Prepare reports as required by the Director of Military Outreach and Veteran Affairs
Respond to student and military education counselor email requests and inquires
Market University programs in conjunction with main offices Marketing Department
Manage and distribute University marketing materials
Attend education fairs and military recruitment events
Represent the University at appropriate military education conferences, seminars, and workshops
