Thomas Edison State University seeks a part time Assistant. Under the supervision of the Dean of Arts and Sciences, the Assistant fulfills a professional role in support of the School’s academic programs and initiatives. The Assistant will work between 20-25 hours per week and is responsible for assisting the School of Arts and Sciences in a wide range of support activities. The Assistant provides support in using varied databases, record keeping support, and performs various administrative and clerical duties including payment processing, performs research to support report preparation, managing communications to external audiences, assisting with meetings and front facing customer service to all staff, students, and mentors.
Ability to use databases and conduct research

The Heavin School of Arts and Science’s part-time temporary position for an Assistant is an hourly pay position. The part-time temporary employee will work 20-25 hours a week at the office located in Trenton, NJ and will assist the School with daily research and administrative tasks.
Examples of Work:
Use of databases to collect and compile information
Manage front facing communications with students, mentors and staff
Process payments/contracts and manage new vendor requirements and payment vouchers
Assist in arranging meetings and events
Support School committees with note taking and recordkeeping
Support and maintain administrative initiatives
Purchase office supplies and equipment and maintain proper stock level
