This position is in the Department of Physics, located in Compton Hall. This position is for the Danforth Campus in the School of Arts & Sciences.
This position is responsible for all accounting aspects to continue department function, i.e. marketplace orders, inter-departmental orders, blanket orders, change orders, journals, travel advances/travel reports, check request, invoices, external and internal billings for helium and the machine shop.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with all accounting aspects for Physics - marketplace orders, inter-departmental orders, blanket orders, change orders, check requests, invoices, budget adjustments, etc.
Assists with all procard transactions related to travel.
Assists with all travel for the department - travel advances & travel reimbursements.
Assists with billing for the Physics Department (internal & external) for the machine shop, helium, etc.
Assists with year-end closing.
Creates and maintains an online filing system, as well as hard copy backup in office.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of office, accounting, bookkeeping or business experience.
Experience in academic accounting.
The hiring range for this position is $16.31 - $20.39 per hour.

This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.
