The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Medicine, at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) announces a full-time 12-month Assistant/Associate faculty teaching position. Tenure status and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The faculty member is expected to teach medical and graduate education courses, provide academic and leadership support to existing and upcoming educational programs, and engage in scholastic activities that support the mission of the Department. Candidates must have a graduate level degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DVM or other) in Science or a closely related field, and candidates with PharmD, PhD degrees are preferred, along with a research background. Experience in medical education teaching is preferred. Independent research experience and student training in community research is preferred, and statistical understanding of mixed methodology is highly desired. Applicants should show evidence of existing scholarly research.
