This position will assist the Principal Investigator in the conduct and implementation of clinical research. The successful candidate should possess the ability to work independently to coordinate research projects on a daily basis. This individual will have the responsibility of assuring that our research is performed in accordance with university policies and federal regulations and state/federal law for the treatment of human subjects in clinical research. This individual will be expected to handle any situation that occurs on a daily basis with subjects in clinical research projects and make decisions as to how to handle these situations in accordance with the Principal Investigators direction while also assuring compliance with applicable policy, regulations, and law.cal studies/trials in Radiology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data collection, analysis, and/or monitoring.
- Protection of subjects and subject's rights through IRB regulations.
- Development of Informed Consent forms.
- Generation of required documentation.
- Education of health professionals, patients and/or families in regard to the clinical trial, and participation in research program audits.
- Initiate, conduct, complete, and report clinical studies/trials in Radiology.
Bachelor's degree in science or a health-related field and one year of health-related/research experience; OR bachelor's degree in any other field/associate's degree in Allied Health professions and three years of health-related/research experience or two years of experience in clinical research.
General computer literacy. Capable of multi-tasking and staying organized. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Working Conditions / Demands
Must be able to effectively use PC, keyboarding skills. Effectively communicate by telephone and in person. Extended periods of time sitting at a computer workstation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to travel between facilities throughout the day.
