The Senior Office Support Assistant works closely with the Planning, Analysis, and Decision Support and Enrollment Management Offices (Admissions, Data and Software Application Services, Financial Aid Scholarships, Institutional Research, Registration and Records, UMKC Central) and with the Vice Provost of Institutional Effectiveness and Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment Management. This position coordinates and provides administrative support in a shared services model to executive administrative staff and five offices. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing support of scheduling meetings as well as meeting and committee preparation
General proof-reading, ensuring content follows policy, and preparing emails for distribution
Managing absence calendar for unit Planning, Analysis, and Decision Support and Enrollment Management offices
Developing office procedures and standards
Research and support overseeing the SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) program, a Title IV program related to Financial Aid
Providing support and coordination for the Fee and Residency committee
Supervising, coordinating, and participating in the collection and recording of academic and other records. Preparing reports to be submitted to supervisors of the department or outside agency
Back-up support for the Business Support Specialist II with budgets; reconciling accounts; travel; reviewing account expenditures; and time and leave accruals
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Successful applicants will be customer-service focused professionals with higher education experience, who are known for their ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
