Live-in position to assist the Director of Housing and residence life staff in the management of the residence hall system. Assist in the supervision, training, and evaluation of student staff. Assist with the coordination of the housing application, contract and room assignment process; in addition to room inspections and maintenance procedures. Collaborate with other campus and off-campus agencies to promote community development, academic success, and personal growth. Coordinate and supervise residence hall programming and student affairs-sponsored programming events. Administer community standards within the campus discipline system. Provide on-call coverage on evenings and weekends by assisting and supporting Resident Advisor Staff, Campus Police and Safety and Facilities Maintenance Staff with student and facility crisis. Support camp and conference and summer Student Affairs programs and services. Confidentiality must be maintained with all student directory data, health records, disciplinary records and information gathered through a counseling relationship. These records are protected through Federal, State, and University policies and confidentiality must be maintained.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one year of residential life experience developing and enhancing a co-curricular student involvement strategy. Must possess initiative, strong analytical skills, ability to effectively use data to promote student success, and excellent group dynamic skills. We are looking for creativity and strong organizational skills to provide innovative and engaging student programs. Knowledge and effective use of current and emerging technologies to support and enhance student engagement is necessary. Competency in using Microsoft Office products , resident life and other educational computer management software.
