The Undergraduate and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for all aspects of the department's Undergraduate Program. This includes: student records management; information and statistics on degrees, certificate programs, and courses; program assessment; undergraduate mentoring, research experiences; announcements; recruitment support; the undergraduate alumni database.
In addition, the Undergraduate and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for organizing outreach efforts within an administrative unit, maintaining the department's seminar/colloquium series, arranging the department alumni seminar series, reviewing and updating the department's website and social media, hiring and supervising of student workers, and acting as a back-up to other administrative staff members within the unit as necessary.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office software and email and be comfortable updating websites and social media as well as using online calendars. Familiarity using PeopleSoft and Drupal software is greatly preferred but not required. The Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences is committed to building a culturally diverse staff. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), organizational skills, and be both comfortable with and proficient in the use of computers (i.e. Microsoft Office software, e-mail, electronic calendars, web content management programs). Prior familiarity with the University's PeopleSoft system would be extremely beneficial.
