Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Department: MED-Preventive Medicine Salary/Grade: NEX/8
This full-time position (~40 hrs/week) will act as the driver for a research study in the Department of Preventive Medicine. As such, the candidate will pick up participants from their homes throughout the Chicagoland area and drive them to the clinic at Northwestern University’s downtown campus. They will also drive the participants back home, as needed. A rental car is provided for this aspect of the work and a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. This person will also be primarily responsible for walking participants to and from another building on campus and checking them in for CT scans. In addition, this position will help perform various clerical duties within the research clinic, which may include data entry, filing, and other miscellaneous duties to support the work of the study.
Drive participants to and from their homes and the research clinic and escort participants to and from the CT facility for their appointments.
Perform clerical duties such as data entry, preparing charts for the next days’ visits, filing, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma,
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Good knowledge of the Chicagoland area roadways and directions. Able to interact with individuals from all backgrounds and cultures in a friendly and courteous manner.
Some education beyond high school is preferred but not necessary.
