Augsburg's Business Department stresses active, experiential learning and is now housed in our newest building, the Hagfors Center for Science, Business and Religion. Faculty and students work with local businesses and nonprofits on projects both for classes and as internships or field studies. Our location in Minneapolis provides broad ranging opportunities for collaboration with industry partners as well as colleagues at the numerous colleges and universities in the Twin Cities.
We are seeking candidates to teach Business Analytics courses. Candidates should be able to teach classes in GIS, R, Tableau and other statistical or mathematical tools including MATLAB. This candidate must be able to teach upper level courses in Forecasting, advanced business or econometric analysis as well as the data analytics concentration classes in our MBA program. The preferred candidate will be able to teach a wide variety of courses in this area of specialization. The Department of Business Administration strongly values experiential learning as an important component of an excellent educational program. We also value collaboration within the Department and across the University in order to provide the highest caliber education for our students through opportunities such as internships, faculty/student research and service learning. Additional responsibilities, such as service within the Department, the University and the profession may be required. In the future, it may be converted to a tenure track position dependent on the credentials of the successful candidate and approval of the Department and University.
A Master's degree or higher in data analytics, statistics or economics or a related field is required
In addition, a Ph.D. in an appropriate field is preferred and is required for any tenure track position
Candidates who have earned their degree from an AACSB accredited institution will be given preference
A minimum of three (3) or more years evidence of teaching excellence and professional work experience
