FINANCIAL ASSISTANT 2 , Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab , to carry out financial operations for the office and support J-PAL's systems and operational needs. This will include processing and tracking expenses; monitoring contractors; processing travel expenses through Concur; developing purchase orders for procurement activities; processing payments with MIT's Accounts Payable office; tracking grant finances through MIT's SAP system; researching options for vendors and developing draft budgets for various activities; and supporting the documentation, management, and enforcement of operational systems.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a high school diploma; at least three years' administrative/finance experience in an office environment (may include internships); good written and verbal communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; and an interest in learning about organizational operations, creating and documenting processes, and identifying new systems to improve efficiency. Must be able to build effective relationships and work within a team; communicate clearly with a broad range of stakeholders; anticipate, plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines; organize and manage a high volume of work; and self-manage a time-sensitive workflow while maintaining high quality output. PREFERRED : bachelor's degree; experience with financial budgeting, tracking and projections; knowledge of MIT systems; and ability to speak French. Job #18539-5
