THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Dosimetrist provides a senior level of dosimetry support in the treatment of cancer patients by designing treatment plans for radiation therapy patients as a lead dosimetrist. Medical Dosimetrists work with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, fellow Dosimetrists and other healthcare professionals to create accurate radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation treatments. The treatment planning for radiation therapy involves photon and electron beams, high dose rate brachytherapy, low dose rate brachytherapy, total body irradiation, SBRT, IMRT treatments and participation in research protocols. Required Qualifications
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certificate issued by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience as a staff dosimetrist.
Knowledge and understanding of current practices in radiation therapy, planning, and administration.
Knowledge of treatment planning systems and departmental information management system (Mosaiq).
Proficiency in 3-D, IMRT, SBRT external and brachytherapy (HDR & LDR) treatment planning.
