The Manager provides leadership for the University Libraries personnel services to recruit, train, support, and retain a highly engaged and skilled workforce.
Provides leadership and direction for planning the allocation of personnel resources in collaboration with the Dean of the Libraries and the Director of Library Budgets and Finance. Works closely with the Associate University Librarians and Department Heads/Directors to facilitate departmental staffing needs and supports the collaborative development of hiring processes. Provides hiring, open position, student wage budget reports and assessments. Creates and submits Hiring Review Committee Request. Liaisons with the Human Resources Business Partner. Works collaboratively with libraries management to develop and implement libraries' priorities that align with the mission and vision of the University, and contributes to Libraries-wide strategic planning, personnel resource management, policies, and assessment. Represents the Libraries on various University committees and ad hoc groups and in state, regional and national arenas and works closely with other University offices and leaders to ensure the Libraries' personnel services and functions are in alignment with University policies, operations, initiatives, and strategic directions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or related discipline and three (3) years of human resources and administrative experience or the equivalent experience; one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Master's degree in human resources, business administrations, public administration; three (3) years of academic library experience in management of personnel services and functions; two (2) years of supervisory experience; experience with UT Share, PeopleAdmin, and Handshake; experience providing internal and external customer in a 24/7 setting.
