This position is a member of the middleware & enterprise architecture team that engineers the infrastructure and platforms required to implement email and collaboration solutions on the Office 365 platform. Provides primary support for Office 365 solutions and/or technologies and acts as secondary support for others. Contributes as a member of a project team by assisting with the architecture of solutions. Involved in the implementation and support of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Office 365 email and collaboration technologies.
Duties include: 1.Administration – Provides primary support (engineers, installs, upgrades, maintains, and administers) for moderately-sized Office 365 solutions and/or platforms and acts as secondary support for others. Leads the documentation and maintenance of the policies, procedures, and standardizations for the primary supported Office 365 platforms. Contributes to the creation and maintenance of the policies, procedures, and standardizations for the rest of the Office 365 platforms and solutions administered by the middleware team.
2.Development – Provides integrations and performs simple modifications or configuration changes to Office 365 platform. Documents integration solutions, writes scripts or other required software modifications, and reviews documentation created by peers. Reviews coding or configurations done by peers and less experienced team members.
3.Architecture – Works with customers to gather requirements for well understood integrations and designs the solution. Contributes to projects teams that need moderate Office 365 architecture support. Leads projects that are internal to the middleware team.
4.Mentoring and Research – Researches and identifies changes to standards and practices that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the middleware and other OIT teams.
5.Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years total experience in any combination of the following technology fields: IT security, system engineering, programming, system administration, application administration.
1+ year experience designing, implementing, and documenting solutions and standard integrations based on customer’s requirements.
Experience administrating/working with two of the following technologies: Exchange, SharePoint, PowerShell, Power Automate, Azure AD, or Teams.
Experience with Windows operating systems.
Experience with systems analysis, troubleshooting, and working in a project team environment to implement new processes and Office 365 platform features.
Experience maintaining and administrating multiple collaboration services including the Office 365, Google, or other collaboration platforms.
Experience writing Office 365 integrations and automations with PowerShell or Graph API.
Experience defining and implementing Office 365 policies using role based access controls.
Experience administrating Office 365 in a hybrid model using Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.
Experience using Office 365 security tools and features to monitor, maintain and apply security measures for the protection of the Office 365 systems and users.
