The Director of Student Engagement manages all activities related to campus organizations, Greek Life, and acts as the point of contact for all diversity and inclusion student concerns and programming. The Director will assume responsibility of the day-to-day functions of the Office of Student Life which includes programmatic operations, assisting with staff development and training, and assessment analysis. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Students for Union and Campus Engagement.
1.Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration or related field preferred; candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) or more years of applicable experience in a Student Affairs supervisory role will also be considered.
2.A minimum of four years full-time professional experience in Student Life positions strongly preferred.
3.Previous experience in managing contracts, facility requests, and communication with vendors preferred.
4.Demonstrated success as a personnel and fiscal manager.
5.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments to create opportunities for student learning and development. Leadership, mentoring and/or counseling experience is a plus.
7.Ability to interact positively and with a service mindset, with students, faculty, staff, parents, and the community.
8.Willing and able to work nonstandard hours as required, including some evenings and weekends.
9.Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with the University's Motor Vehicle Policy. A MVC check will be required at the time of hire and thereafter as deemed appropriate by the University. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the MVC check.
10.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
