Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Behavioral Research and Training Institute (BRTI) – Children's Training and Technical Assistance Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Program Manager is to provide administrative oversight of the program and supervision to program staff. Responsible for the management of operations. Assures program viability and compliance with funder requirements.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Develops a comprehensive range of services as indicated by the program's ability to accommodate consumer needs.
Provides effective leadership in fulfilling the goals of the Children's Training and Technical Assistance program.
Provides performance evaluations for supervised staff, which clearly delineate strengths, areas for improvement, and steps required to improve performance.
Oversees/assists in the development, provision, and dissemination of high quality training and technical assistance services and products.
Assumes leadership in identifying areas for training/technical assistance and providing advanced level services.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Doctoral level degree required in a human service field and five (5) years of experience in mental health services, with two (2) years’ supervisory experience.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge in the field of child and adolescent mental health and the NJ Children's System of Care.
Strong leadership skill needed to manage diverse needs and demands.
Computer knowledge in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
Flexibility in schedule.
Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment.
Must demonstrate knowledge is necessary of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment.
