Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Program Development Specialist II for the Department of Radiology within the New Jersey Medical School.
Under direction of the Senior Director of Administration, the Program Development Specialist II coordinates and/or participates in the production of various department projects and reports. The Program Specialist II designs and coordinates the development of comprehensive planning documents for the department within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Consults with the Senior Director of Administration and the Department Chair to review goals, resource allocation, reports and procedures for completing projects.
Coordinates formulating and defining technical scope and objective goals are met between multiple divisions within the department.
Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation in conjunction with department leadership.
Provides work direction with marketing, facilities, engineering, operations, customer service, and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are set.
Provides work direction to support staff to ensure progress is on schedule and within budget.
Coordinates, as required, the recruitment or assignment of additional project personnel including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority as director by the Senior Director of Administration and the Chair.
Analyses data, prepares reports, performs searches related to all projects. Also, identifies deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
Maintains project status reports and keeps department leadership and other stake holders informed of status and related issues.
Produces business procedures that ensure developed applications are met.
Prepares and maintains technical and project documentation.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience.
Prior experience working in a medical and/or hospital environment with high volume of providers.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated expertise in project proposal and strong communication skills.
