St. Louis College of Pharmacy is seeking a Senior Analyst of Institutional Research and Assessments to perform all necessary functions related to the collection, interpretation, and use of institutional data for planning, assessment, and decision making in the service of fulfilling the College’s mission. This is a great position for an early to mid-career data-analysis focused professional looking to broaden their exposure in higher education and have a significant impact on institutional data-driven decision making.
This position works with the Director, Institutional Research to facilitate access to information maintained in the College’s administrative/student information system to monitor key institutional indicators and support College operations, ensuring the integrity of data/information released in reports or studies and providing data analysis, reporting, or research as needed to uphold institutional objectives. The Senior Analyst collaborates with senior leadership personnel to foster a culture of evidence that supports institutional effectiveness practices and complies with local, state, and national expectations and accreditation standards.
SPECIFIC MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the collection of relevant institutional data and key performance indicators including enrollment, retention, recruiting, marketing, and assessment
Improve existing data collection strategies and develop new approaches and procedures for the collection and analysis of institutional data
Coordinate all recurring informational needs for external agencies and organizations, including but not limited to the following: (a) IPEDS; (b) Higher Learning Commission (c) the NSSE Survey of Student Engagement and (d) other accreditation agencies.
Advance and maintain standard operating procedures for data collection and reporting processes to ensure data integrity
Use data visualization tools to clearly provide relevant information to the institutional units, mission areas, and senior leadership
Provide technical guidance and support to departments on the completion of external surveys for various agencies including support for institutional self-study, accreditation, assessment, and program review
Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Ability to prepare accurate and timely accountability reports according to documented requirements
Ability to understand metrics and data mining
Visualization of data in nontechnical audiences
To succeed in this role you will need:
Desire to change, adapt, and continuously improve the College’s data collection, reporting, and analytic efforts.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree highly preferable.
Demonstrated expertise with statistical programming, data management, data visualization software and research tools (such as COGNOS, Qualtrics, SPSS, R, Stata, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and/or others) is mandatory
Demonstrated experience in using databases with a content emphasis in higher education (enterprise or derivative) systems

Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters
