The Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for current students, staff, faculty, and alumni of Mitchell Hamline School of Law. The Coordinator is responsible for: coordination and execution of on-campus logistics for key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) events, and programs, including, but not limited to: diversity receptions and community events; extracurricular diversity programming; affinity student organization events and activities; assisting with the implementation of policies, procedures, and plans related to various DEI initiatives; develop and present training materials; act as a resource, liaison and mentor for students, staff and faculty; maintaining accurate information for online databases; creating and managing office communications via the website, email, social media and other channels of communications; responding to questions and request for information in-person or via email and phone.
Qualifications: Associate degree required (bachelor’s degree preferred); minimum 2 years in higher education preferred; experience in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work preferred; legal or administrative support; ability to work independently; ability to multi-task with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment; advanced computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, (written and oral), customer service, professionalism, and organizational skills; and strong attention to detail required.
