Performs all the duties as a Veterinary Care Technician- Tier II but also coordinates the activities within a specified service including coordination of clinical support activities for the service area and supervision of staff including RVTs and Veterinary Assistants. Work involves assisting a veterinarian in technical procedures and activities involving animal health and disease. Performs a variety of animal care responsibilities under the close supervision of an RVT Supervisor and/or clinical veterinarians. Specific duties will be determined by assigned area of responsibility and may involve floating or cross-training through various areas to develop skills and technique. Responsible for the supervision of staff working in the designated service area.
Associate degree from an accredited veterinary technology program; completed and successfully passed VTNE prior to hire date; State of Ohio Registered Veterinary Technician at the time of hire; minimum three years of RVT experience including a combination of RVT and Veterinary Assistant AND some leadership experience in the form of team lead, coordinator, or other position.
Target Salary: $21.00 - $24.62 Hourly
