The DDC Systems Specialist 1 supports university operations and maintenance by performing preventative maintenance and service calls on environmental control systems, lab and fume hood systems, wireless and wired clocks, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and pneumatic systems. Regularly uses specific manufacturer's software to read and write temperature control programs and build system graphics. Uses various meters and hand tools to troubleshoot peripheral devices associated with DDC systems and HVAC equipment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six months or 600 hours of training in mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC technology; knowledge of computers, digital controls, electronic and safety practices, HVAC and pneumatic technology, and reading blueprints. Skill in operating shop equipment, power tools, pneumatic controls. Ability to work independently on many tasks, cooperate with other personnel on group projects. Routinely lift moderate to heavy (20 to 100 lb.) equipment. Ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages and read and write common vocabulary.
Three months or 300 hours of training in programming and electrical circuitry desired.
Target Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly
