The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is accepting applications for a full-time, twelve month faculty position in the Physician Assistant Studies Program (PA), Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS), School of Health Professions (SHP). SHP is one of the nation's largest and most diverse schools of its type, and is home to more than twenty programs at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels.
The candidate's primary responsibilities will include didactic instruction, scholarly activities and student advising. We are also seeking individuals who hold in high regard opportunities for community service, outreach and engagement. The PA Program faculty consists of an energetic, cohesive group of individuals, and the program is highly integrated with the UAB Medical School and surrounding medical community. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of didactic teaching experience in a health related profession (PA, MD or DO programs), a minimum of four years of clinical experience in a primary care specialty, a minimum of three years serving as a preceptor, and possess at least a Master's degree in a related health sciences discipline.
