The Instructional Support Assistant (ISA) is a part-time (30 hrs/wk) position in the Building Trades Department. This individual will provide support to the building construction, masonry, heavy equipment operations, and HVAC programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with faculty on student projects and assist in labs as needed, primarily in the HVAC program.
Instruct and supervise students in safe and proper use of equipment/tools.
Assist with program and department tours to prospective students and their families.
Troubleshoot and repair department equipment.
General departmental assistance.
Construction trade-related experience
A versatile individual who and can maintain a positive attitude while tasked with a continually changing workflow.
A high regard to safety
Valid driver's license.
An ability to maintain a professional and academic demeanor at all times.
Capable of supervising and effectively managing groups of college-age students.
Effective communication skills.
