The incumbent will manage the acquisition of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) data from human fluid samples in support of the National Center for PTSD and Alzheimers Disease Center. The position involves the operation of two different ELISA systems (Quanterix, Meso Scale Discovery). The research technician will gather frozen specimens from the biorepository and prepare them for the ELISA analysis. The technician will post-process data and work with the research scientists to analyze and publish results. The position is highly collaborative and requires excellent verbal and writing skill.
B.A. or B.S. in biology, biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, or related field with 0-3 years of experience. The position will involve the preparation of blood and CSF samples for ELISA analysis. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and will excel at maintaining records. Working knowledge of Excel and Word is required. Participation in data analysis is dependent on experience with SPSS, Excel, and R. Acquisition of advanced data analysis skills on the job is encouraged.
