SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Department of English at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English to begin fall 2020. The Assistant Professor of English will teach medieval literature, history of the English language, grammar, and composition with secondary interests in some of the following areas: literary criticism, ecocriticism and environmental literatures, 18th-Century literature, comparative literatures, disability studies, and/or an interest in digital humanities or new media studies. Applicants must have a doctorate in hand by August 2020.
