Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) is seeking a Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Services SVCC is an accessible, comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education that serves approximately 183,000 residents from the counties of Brunswick, Buckingham (partial), Charlotte, Cumberland, Greensville, Halifax (partial), Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward, and the city of Emporia. Ours is the largest community college service region in the state with a coverage area of approximately 4,200 square miles. SVCC has been awarded the national distinction of one of The Chronicles Great Colleges to Work For in ten of the last eleven years, earning the additional distinction of Honor Roll in seven of those years. With the goal of academic excellence in all areas, the college offers a variety of occupational, technical, and university-parallel transfer programs to meet the diverse needs of approximately 4,700 credit students and 1,700 noncredit students. The position of Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Services will provide leadership as SVCC seeks to develop creative solutions to increase enrollment, to develop strategies to maintain dual enrollment programs, and to cultivate student success. The Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Services will be an innovative leader able to engage students, faculty and staff, in maintaining a robust student centered environment with a focus on improving student access and success. Through her/his effective leadership and strong communication skills, the Vice President will establish and maintain strong collaborative partnerships in support of VCCS goals, the collegeâs strategic plan and strategic enrollment goals; seek continuous improvement; and foster positive change. This leader will be highly visible in the community and able to build successful external relationships with K-12 partners.. She/he will also promote an environment that fosters student engagement while increasing strategic recruitment and retention. An understanding of the mission and goals of a comprehensive community college in the 21st Century and appreciation for rural colleges are essential characteristics, along with a clear commitment to student success.

Established in 1970, SVCC is one of the 23 colleges in the Virginia Community College System. The Christanna Campus near Alberta and the John H. Daniel Campus near Keysville serve ten counties and one city - the largest community college service region in the state. In 1985, SVCC opened the Southside Virginia Education Center. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate degrees.
