1.Create processes and systems utilizing the College's applicant tracking system to align recruiting strategies, policies and services with other key HR objectives.
2.Participate in the development and implementation of internal and external sourcing strategies that generate diverse candidate pools and provide for an overall professional recruitment program.
3.Maintain awareness and knowledge of all Federal and State employment laws and compliance regulations. Ensure compliance with the College's equal opportunity, non-discrimination provisions and diversity initiatives as they relate to the recruitment function.
4.Work with hiring managers to ensure the timely processing of job descriptions, job postings, search materials, applications, appointment letters, and other related documentation.
5.Ensure that background and reference checks have been completed for all new or transferring employees in accordance with College policy.
6.Research and analyze data pertaining to recruitment and staffing, and advise hiring managers on best practices and strategies.
7.Build relationships with external partners to advance recruitment initiatives.
8.Participate in the development and delivery of recruitment-specific training programs for hiring managers and search committees.
9.Review, screen and interview applicants for technical competence, applicable background and skills, individual goals and ability to fit in and function effectively within the organization. Administer skills assessments to prospective candidates as requested by the hiring supervisor in conjunction with an interview.
10.Prepare necessary documentation required for hiring and onboarding new employees.
11.Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a business related field or equivalent experience required. A Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years recruitment experience or two (2) to five (5) years of professional human resources experience with concentration in recruitment or employment. Prior experience in higher education preferred.
The Recruitment Specialist's primary job function is to coordinate the activities related to the recruitment, selection, hiring and staffing of a diverse workforce. Will be responsible for full cycle recruiting activities and supporting hiring supervisors as it relates to staff and student positions.
