The Department of Family Medicine at Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a full time physician to provide clinical leadership and development of our primary care telehealth service line.Â
Full-time, Monday-Friday. 80% patient care; 20% telehealth service line development.
This new position is part of the strategic growth of our telehealth primary care program. The ideal candidate has experience in providing care for patients through virtual technology and developing policies and teams to implement telehealth services.
Set comprehensive telehealth goals and direction, performance and growth, including financial outcomes, recruiting
Experience creating telehealth care policies, standards of care and operational workflows.
Experience training providers and staff to form a high performing telehealth care model.
Experience with direct patient focused care on structured, live video visits, phone calls or secure messaging for new and established patients.
Aware of technological and financial developments in telehealth services.

A street medicine program to care for the most vulnerable in our community
A two-site state of the art student health center
An HIV fellowship program

Building a high tech, high touch residency program focused on training a diverse, culturally congruent healthcare workforce to be leaders in building innovative, evidence-based interventions that utilize cutting-edge technologies to deliver patient-centered care focused on eliminating health care disparities.Â
Growth of our Street Medicine program for unsheltered residents of Los Angeles county by flipping our model of care to bring medicine to people where they live
Growing primary care services in Keck multi-specialty practice locations, as well as strategically building relationships with community providers and creating new models of care that make access easier for patients and families
Growth and development of our faculty and staff by creating a culture that embraces inclusion and continuous learning and improvement

Research: We are currently ranked #17 nationally among Family Medicine Departments across the country in NIH funding.
Teaching: Various opportunities such as precepting medical and PA students, mentoring, advising or teaching medical students and PA students.
The ideal candidate will take pride in providing exceptional patient care. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to caring for the whole patient across the lifespan and to serve as the patientâs advocate in an increasingly complex health care system.
3+ yearsâ growing and maintaining an empanelment of patients
Demonstrated knowledge in primary care growth, business and practice development
Experience working in an interdisciplinary care model team
Experience in providing primary care medical services
Experience teaching medical or physician assistant students preferred.
Completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program and board certification in Family Medicine
Current California medical license âor- be eligible for California licensure
Eligibility for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher
Provide primary care medical services
Participate in the rotating 24-hour call schedule
Participate in quality assurance and utilization review activities as assigned
