The Program Manager, Noncredit Certificates, reports to the Executive Director of the Center for Workforce Development and is responsible for assisting with implementation of the Center's corporate and non-credit professional education programs. Under the Executive Director, the Program Manager will assist with implementing strategies to improve and expand the Center's non-credit professional certification programs, including online and hybrid programs, and promote and market new and existing offerings to prospective students. The Program Manager will also assist with implementing continuous improvement strategies to ensure that services are efficient, effective, of high quality, and student centered. The Program Manager helps to advance the Center's marketing efforts by representing the Center at community and business events.
Supervision Received: Executive Director of the Center for Workforce Development
Supervision Exercised: Work-study staff and student Interns as assigned.
Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and the community at large to inform them of programs and services that meet the needs of prospective students and incumbent.
Collaborate with the marketing department to develop meaningful marketing material and social media to brand and promote the Center's programs
Conduct public presentations to business and the community at large to educate and bring awareness of Life Long Learning, Corporate and Professional Education training programs provided by the Center.
Serve as initial point of contact for all student inquiries.
Assess all students and recommend them for acceptance to certificate programs.
Manage and oversee the WorkKeys Assessment system.
Develop and manage a budget for marketing the Center's programs and services in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Collect and analyze data to monitor and evaluate marketing and student services and make changes when needed.
Coordinate set-up for various events and programs.
Participate in Open Registration activities.
Order marketing supplies as needed.
Updates marketing materials for flyers and the website. Post flyers and signs, and remove after.
Serve students in a way that practices inclusion and respects the strengths and differences of all people seeking adult education for academic, occupational, professional, and cultural enhancement.
Attend college and community events to promote and recruit for Lifelong Learning programs.
Attend campus meetings and serves on committees, as required.
Participate in Commencement ceremonies.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Flexible including nights and weekends.
Prior experience in an urban community college and/or with diverse populations.
Experience: 3-5 years proven experience in implementing workforce development programs including grant funded programs
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Experience with data entry and collection
Committed to continuous quality improvement
Demonstrated positive and proactive approach to problem solving and developing innovative solutions to address challenges.
Ability to multitask and manage competing projects
Skilled at Microsoft computer applications including: Word Excel and PowerPoint
Higher Education Environment
Strong attention to detail
Bilingual (Preference for Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean-Creole, or Portuguese).
Available to work evenings and weekends
Valid Driver's License
