The Administrative Coordinator for Preclinical Learning has the main responsibility of managing preclinical learning in all the disciplines in the two main learning spaces (Rooms 848 and 1411), and the transition to the actual clinical learning experience for students in all department disciplines (supporting preclinical experiences in the Introduction to the Dental Patient (IDP) series). The Program Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the preclinical learning programs, including scheduling of the learning spaces, assignment of students and managing the care and maintenance with Clinical Affairs/IT and maintenance staff. Specifically: Coordinate simulation clinic curriculum content with all departments and course directors ensuring that all teaching and learning needs are met. Support the Manager of Clinical Operations on licensing examinations in 848 and 1411. Coordinate with all course directors in preparing for workshops as needed. He/she will also participate on appropriate committees/management groups to increase/improve communication between the preclinical environment and the clinical environment and help to serve the needs of each department. Coordinate care and maintenance of the simulation/clinical facilities with Clinical Affairs.
Typically, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet and database knowledge.
In addition, bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
5-10 years of scheduling experience and minimal expertise in managing AV equipment.
Leadership experience preferred.
Educational Instruction preferred.
Strong Organizational skills required.
Self-starter and self-motivated.
